Campaigning to elect Katie Porter to Congressional District 45 in Orange County, CA

I have loved being really involved in how the campaigns work over here - because you're based in the campaign HQ you can see everything that's going on day to day and how people rally around to build support and momentum to help get the candidate elected. I'll soon start applying for graduate jobs and I think this placement will be a really unique thing to discuss in interviews and will enable me to stand out a bit more from other candidates on my CV. It's also massively helped me increase my confidence speaking to people through canvassing and phone-banking, especially on topics you're not an expert on but need to have those conversations anyway, and I think this will be really useful when communicating with recruiters.
